1. What version of operating system does SNAC requires?
  SNAC supports version Android 2.3 & above and Android 4.0.1 & above. If your smartphone does not have the required iOS version, please backup your device and update your iOS.
 
2. Where can I download & install SNAC?
  SNAC is available on your Google Play Store
 
3. I couldn't find SNAC on my smartphone Google Play Store.
  SNAC is available only in Singapore Google Play Store. You will need to change your store location to Singapore to download and install SNAC.
 
4. Why SNAC needs to read my calendar and confidential information, add or modify calendar event and send email to guests without owners' knowledge as stated on the disclaimer prior to the installation?
 

SNAC is a standalone application and in order for one application to access another application’s features in the smartphone (in this case which is the calendar application) user needs to authorise the read/write access for SNAC to access the calendar application.

With the standard access rights given, application can read all calendar information, add or modify calendar and send email. However, SNAC only leverage the add/modify function to insert/edit notification to the calendar.

This is because SNAC has a feature which allows user to add notification to the calendar (iCal/Google Calendar) and set as an alert/alarm function when the notification is about due.

This function is available purely for the convenience of our users to add notification to their calendar through SNAC without having to exit the application and adding the notification to the calendar manually.

 
5. What information do I need to register on SNAC?
  You will need:
  - Your email address (Mandatory)
  - Your spouse/guardian email address (Optional)
  - Your child/children birth certificate number/NRIC/FIN (Mandatory)
 
6. Must I register SNAC with my (Google) gmail account?
  You can register SNAC with any valid email account.
 
7. Will SNAC (APPtitude Pte Ltd), uses my information (email) for marketing purposes?
  APPtitude Pte Ltd strictly adheres to MICA Personal Data Protection Bill (Bill no./2012). As such, no information will be use or exploit for any form of advertisement and marketing, personal gains nor sold to any third party agencies for marketing purposes; regardless internally or externally. And information furnished to APPtitude Pte Ltd for the facilitation of SNAC implementation and deployment will hold the highest level of information integrity.

Step 1: Launch SNAC on your smartphone and click 'New'

Step 2: Enter your email address, re-enter to confirm. (Optional: You may add your spouse's or guardian's email to the secondary email field to receive notification)

Step 3: Enter your child/children birth certificate number/NRIC/FIN to each account. (Maximum up to 5 accounts can be added)

Step 4: Enter the authentication code that has been sent to your email

Step 5: You have successfully registered on SNAC

 
9. Why do I need to sign in to Google before registering on SNAC?
  SNAC uses GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) for 'Push Notification' in order for user to receive notification via their Android smartphone. Therefore to use GCM services, user must register on Goggle service. Instructions on how to sign in to Google is available here.
 
10. How do I sign in to Google?
  Step 1: Launch your internet browser on your Android smartphone

Step 2: Go to www.google.com

Step 3: Once the Google page is loaded, tap on the 'Sign in' button on the top left

Step 4: Sign in with your gmail account

Step 5: You have successfully signed in, please proceed with SNAC registration. Instructions to register on SNAC is available at FAQ #8

 
11. After 5 minutes, I still have not received my authentication code.
  - Please check your spam mailbox. It is likely that the email server may have classified the mail as spam.
  - You may have entered your email wrongly or the email address you have entered is invalid due to inactivity. Please login as an 'existing' user on SNAC to check your email address.
 
12. The email address I have entered is correct, my email address is valid but there is no SNAC email in my inbox or spam mailbox.
  Please send us an email to [email protected]. Do indicate your child/children birth certificate number/NRIC/FIN in the email to facilitate our technical support.
 
13. I have entered a wrong or invalid email address during the registration.
  Please send us an email to [email protected]. Do indicate your child/children birth certificate number/NRIC/FIN and your intended email address to be registered to facilitate our technical support.

Step 1: Launch SNAC on your smartphone and go to 'Profile' then select any profile from the list. (Note: New authentication code will apply to all your profiles/accounts)

Step 2: Key in either a new 6 alphabets/6 numeric or 6 alphanumeric as your new authentication code in the field provided

Step 3: Key in your old authentication code to confirm the change

Step 4: To verify your new authentication has been updated successfully, login with your new code

Step 5: You have successfully changed your authentication code

 
15. I have registered on SNAC and I wish to change my existing email address.
 

Step 1: Launch SNAC on your smartphone and go to 'Profile' then select any profile from the list. (Note: changing of email addresses will apply to all your profiles/accounts)

Step 2: Key in your new email address over your old email address

Step 3: Tap on 'Update' and key in your authentication code to confirm the change

Step 4: Login with your new email address and your authentication code

Step 5: You have successfully updated your new email address

Step 1: Launch SNAC on your smartphone and go to 'Profile' then select any profile from the list. (Note: adding of secondary email address will apply to all your profiles/accounts)

Step 2: Key in your spouse or guardian as secondary email address in the field provided

Step 3: Tap on 'Update' and key in your authentication code to confirm the change

Step 4: On your spouse or guardian smartphone. Login with the new secondary email address and the same authentication code

Step 5: You have successfully added your spouse/guardian to receive notification

 
17. I am changing to a new Android, how do I keep my current SNAC notification from my old Android smartphone to my new Android smartphone?
  You will need to download and install SNAC on your new Android smartphone. Select login as 'existing' user with your current email address and authentication code on your new Android smartphone.
 
18. I am changing to a new iPhone, how do I keep my current SNAC notification from my old Android smartphone to my new iPhone?
  You will need to download and install SNAC on your new iPhone. Select login as 'existing' user with your current email address and authentication code on your new iPhone.
 
19. I received error message '...has reached the maximum of 2 subscriber' when I tried to register my email.
  You have registered your email address in the 'Master email' field which was already registered by your spouse or your guardian. To receive notification, please request your spouse or guardian who had registered as the 'Master email' to add you. Instructions to add secondary email is available at FAQ #16
 
20. I received error message '...has reached the maximum of 2 subscriber' when I tried to add another secondary email.
  You have added your secondary email address in the 'Master email' field which was already registered by you. Please login using your 'Master email' and add your secondary email under the 'Profile' tab. Instructions to add secondary email is available at FAQ #16
 
21. I have forgotten my Authentication Code.
  On SNAC, select login as 'existing' user, enter your registered email address and tap on 'Resend Authentication Code'. Your authentication code will be sent to your registered email.
 
22. I think I did not receive any notification.
  SNAC works on 'push notification' technology. Therefore you must have 3G/4G/WIFI and your Notification settings turn on to receive notification. To check your Android Notification is turned on, go to 'Settings' select 'Application Manager' and look for SNAC app. Ensure 'Show notification' is checked.
